Soft tissue work, joint mobilisation, dry needling where it suits, and graded stretching, applied to the area we tested and the structures around it. Manual therapy here is a means, not the plan. It buys you the movement and the comfort to do the exercise that actually changes things, so it sits inside a normal consultation rather than being sold as a treatment course of its own. If someone tells you that you need to be manipulated every week forever, get a second opinion.

Will the treatment hurt?
Some of it is uncomfortable while it is happening, particularly on a guarded muscle, but nothing should be more than you have agreed to. Tell us and we change the pressure. Some people feel a bit sore that evening and better the next day.
Do you do dry needling?
Yes, where it suits the problem and you are comfortable with it. It is one option among several, never the whole appointment, and we will always explain it and ask before we use it.
Is massage the same thing?
No. Remedial massage is its own trade and a good one. Manual therapy here is assessment-led: we test a movement, treat, then retest that same movement in front of you.
